Apple is set to enter the foldable smartphone market in India with the launch of its first foldable device, the iPhone Duo. The premium smartphone will be available for pre-order in the country from Friday, October 16, 2026, while its official sale will begin on October 23.
With a foldable OLED display, the latest A20 Pro chipset and up to 2TB of storage, the iPhone Duo is positioned as a high-end addition to Apple’s smartphone lineup.

The iPhone Duo will start at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB variant. Apple will offer four storage configurations, with the 2TB model priced at ₹4,49,900.

Pre-orders will open at 5:30 PM IST on October 16, 2026. The smartphone will go on sale in India from October 23, 2026, alongside more than 70 other countries and regions.
The iPhone Duo will be available in two finishes: Star White and Night Sky.
iPhone Duo Display and Design
The iPhone Duo features a compact 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display that opens up to reveal a larger 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR folding OLED screen.
The inner display supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming, while its nano-texture finish is designed to minimise glare and reflections.
Apple has used a polished Grade 5 titanium frame for the foldable, combining a premium appearance with a durable construction.
Performance, Battery and Charging
Powering the iPhone Duo is Apple’s A20 Pro chip, built using a 2nm process and announced on September 9, 2026. The chipset features a hexa-core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores, along with a 7-core GPU and dual 16-core Neural Engines, offering 32 Neural Engine cores in total.
The device comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 2TB. It also supports global eSIM connectivity.
For battery life, the iPhone Duo features a dual 5,400mAh battery setup. Charging options include MagSafe, Qi 2 wireless charging and USB-C fast charging. With a 60W adapter or higher, the device can charge up to 50% in 20 minutes.
iPhone Duo Camera and Software
The foldable smartphone comes with a 48MP Fusion main camera paired with a 48MP Fusion ultra-wide sensor and a 2x optical-quality telephoto option. For selfies and video calls, Apple has included a 12MP Center Stage front camera positioned under the display.
The camera system supports 4K video recording at up to 120fps and 4K Dolby Vision HDR.
The iPhone Duo will run iOS 27.1 out of the box, bringing Apple’s latest software features to its first foldable smartphone.
