The Adani Group has outlined an investment blueprint of more than ₹6 lakh crore in Maharashtra, covering sectors such as energy, aviation, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification. Of the planned investments, projects worth around ₹2.6 lakh crore have already been completed or are currently under execution, Adani Enterprises Director and Managing Director (Agro, Oil & Gas) Pranav Adani said on Thursday.

He was speaking at the launch of the ‘Invest Maharashtra’ initiative in Mumbai, attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers, including Sunetra Pawar.

Adani described the new investment promotion body as an important institutional step toward turning Maharashtra’s development plans into projects. He said the state would play an important role as India continues its economic expansion.

Adani Group’s ₹6 Lakh Crore Maharashtra Investment Plan

According to Pranav Adani, the Adani Group’s association with Maharashtra goes back several decades, while its latest commitments represent a major expansion in the scale of investment.

The group has committed more than ₹6 lakh crore across several upcoming sectors. These include energy, aviation and aero-districts, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification.

Adani said the commitments were made through engagements at the World Economic Forum in Davos and partnerships with the Maharashtra government. He added that projects worth ₹2.6 lakh crore have already been completed or are currently being executed.

The investments come as Maharashtra aims to develop into a trillion-dollar economy by 2030, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region expected to play a central role in that growth.

Dharavi Redevelopment Linked to Mumbai 3.0 Vision

Adani also spoke about the Adani Group’s involvement in the Dharavi Redevelopment Program, describing it as a major urban transformation project.

He said the redevelopment is being approached with a focus on residents, including modern housing, dignity during relocation and protection of local micro-enterprises.

According to Adani, the project forms part of the broader Mumbai 3.0 vision. He said the objective is not simply to expand Mumbai, but to create a metropolitan region that is better connected, more balanced and more inclusive.

He also emphasised the importance of preserving the community’s economic and social character while transforming the area into an integrated economic hub.

Adani Group Reaffirms Commitment to Maharashtra

Reiterating the group’s long-term commitment to the state, Adani said the Adani Group would continue working alongside the Maharashtra government and its people.

He said the group’s approach would focus on both industrial development and improving the quality of life for citizens.

Adani added that the group sees Maharashtra’s progress as closely connected with India’s broader economic growth, saying that the state’s success would contribute to the country’s development.
