Honda has introduced the ADV 160 Trico Edition in Malaysia, adding a distinctive red, white and blue colour scheme to its adventure-style scooter. The special edition retains the standard model’s engine and features, with the new exterior finish serving as its main highlight.
The scooter combines an automatic transmission with modern technology, including a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity and traction control. However, Honda has not announced whether the Trico Edition will be introduced in India.
Honda ADV 160 Trico Edition: Design and Colours
The most noticeable change on the Honda ADV 160 Trico Edition is its three-colour exterior. The front apron features red, white and blue accents, while the same colour combination extends to the bodywork beneath the seat.

This coordinated finish gives the scooter a different appearance from the standard ADV 160. Apart from the updated styling, the engine and equipment remain unchanged, according to the available information.
Honda ADV 160 Trico Edition Price and India Availability
In Malaysia, the Trico Edition is positioned at a slightly higher price than the standard Honda ADV 160. However, specific pricing details for the special edition have not been disclosed.
In India, the Honda ADV 160 is available in a limited number of cities, with an approximate ex-showroom price of ₹1.70 lakh. Its availability across the country remains restricted.
Honda has not confirmed an Indian launch for the Trico Edition. Prospective buyers will need to wait for an official announcement to learn whether the new colour variant will be offered in the domestic market.
Engine, Performance and Mechanical Specifications
The Honda ADV 160 is powered by a 156.9cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces approximately 16.9 bhp and 14.9 Nm of torque, with power delivered through a CVT automatic transmission.
The engine is also compatible with E85 fuel. Since the Trico Edition retains the standard model’s mechanical setup, its engine and transmission specifications remain the same.

The scooter rides on a 14-inch front alloy wheel and a 13-inch rear alloy wheel. Its suspension system consists of telescopic front forks and a dual-spring rear setup.
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both wheels, supported by dual-channel ABS for improved braking control.
Features and Technology
The Honda ADV 160 comes equipped with a 12.7cm, approximately 5-inch, TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity. This allows the scooter to offer a more modern digital interface than a conventional instrument cluster.
Other features include keyless ignition, an automatic start-stop system and traction control. Together, these features are intended to improve convenience and assist riders in different riding conditions.
The Trico Edition carries forward the standard ADV 160’s equipment, making its new colour scheme the primary distinction.
