iQOO has officially confirmed that the iQOO Neo 12 will launch in China on October 28. The upcoming smartphone is designed with gaming enthusiasts in mind, with a focus on processing power, thermal management and battery capacity.
The device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a dedicated Q3 gaming chip and an active cooling system with a built-in fan. Reports also point to a 9,000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging, although these battery specifications have not yet been officially confirmed.
iQOO Neo 12 Design and Colour Options
The iQOO Neo 12 features a refreshed design compared with its predecessor, with a polished metal frame that gives the phone a premium appearance. The rear panel houses a square-shaped camera module containing two vertically arranged camera lenses, while the flash sits outside the module.
The back panel also carries the “Monster Inside” branding, accompanied by a circular mesh grille near the camera area.

The smartphone will be available in three colours: Contest, Shadow Black and Frost Blade Blue. The Shadow Black version features a silver finish, while Frost Blade Blue offers a lighter blue appearance. The Contest edition stands apart with its textured rear panel.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Processor and Gaming Performance
The iQOO Neo 12 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside a dedicated Q3 gaming chip. This combination is intended to support demanding mobile games and deliver strong performance during extended gaming sessions.
The additional gaming chip is one of the device’s key features, with the hardware designed to support a gaming-focused experience.

For users who play demanding titles, processor performance and heat management will be important factors. The final gaming experience will depend on the phone’s software optimisation and how effectively it manages sustained workloads.
Active Cooling Fan and 9,000mAh Battery
One of the most notable features of the iQOO Neo 12 is its reported Ice Dome Active Cooling System. Unlike conventional passive cooling solutions, the system is expected to include an integrated fan to help remove heat generated inside the device.
Active cooling could be particularly useful during long gaming sessions involving titles such as BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, where sustained performance and temperature control matter.
Battery capacity is another major talking point. Reports suggest that the iQOO Neo 12 could pack a 9,000mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging. However, iQOO has not officially confirmed these specifications, so the final battery capacity and charging capabilities remain subject to confirmation.
