The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today, with several other parts of the country also expected to experience unsettled weather.
According to the weather agency, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected in Several States
Similar weather conditions are expected in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim today.
Residents in the affected areas may therefore experience thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds during the day. The forecast covers several regions across northern, eastern and southern India.
Delhi Weather Forecast Today
For the national capital, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies today. Delhi is not expected to see the heavy rainfall conditions forecast for the northeastern states, although thunderstorms and gusty winds are among the weather conditions predicted over the city.
