Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand, is regarded as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and attracts devotees from across India and Nepal. The temple sees particularly heavy footfall during the holy months of Sawan and Bhado, when pilgrims from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring Nepal visit to seek the blessings of Baba Baidyanath.
The temple remains busy throughout the year, but the number of devotees rises considerably during these months. To manage the large crowds and provide different darshan arrangements, the temple administration makes certain changes to its worship and visitor facilities.
Shishradarshanam Coupon Price Reduced by Half
One of the options available to devotees during the busy period is the Shishradarshanam coupon, which provides a quicker route for devotees seeking darshan and worship at the temple without having to follow the regular queue.
The coupon was earlier priced at ₹600 during Sawan and Bhado. According to temple pilgrim priest Kundan Baba, its price has now been reduced to ₹300.
The reduction means devotees will now be able to use the expedited darshan facility at half the earlier cost. The move is expected to be particularly useful for pilgrims travelling to Deoghar from distant places during the crowded Sawan and Bhado period.
New Price Effective From Wednesday
The revised price of the Shishradarshanam coupon will come into effect from Wednesday. Devotees choosing this facility will therefore be able to access the coupon for ₹300 instead of the earlier ₹600.
For pilgrims who have limited time in Deoghar or are travelling long distances, the lower coupon price provides a more affordable way to access the quicker darshan arrangement during the busy pilgrimage season.
