Vivo is preparing to expand its foldable smartphone lineup in India with the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6. The handset is expected to arrive in India on October 6, following its reported global debut on October 1.
According to a post shared on X by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be launched in India at 12:00 PM on October 6. The same report claims that the global launch will take place on October 1. Here is everything currently reported about the upcoming foldable phone.
Vivo X Fold 6 India Launch Date and Variants
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to be introduced in India in two storage configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.
The phone is reportedly set to arrive in Prism Black and Nebula Teal colour options. This would be different from the Vivo X Fold 5, which was offered in India in a single Titanium Grey colour with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The international version of the Vivo X Fold 6 was recently spotted on Thailand’s NBTC and Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platforms under model number V2559, further indicating its upcoming arrival in global markets.
Vivo X Fold 6 Expected Display and Processor
The specifications of the Indian model are expected to be similar to those of the Chinese version. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and is expected to feature 12GB of RAM.
The Chinese version features an 8.02-inch inner AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,504 x 2,312 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the outside, the foldable phone has a 6.51-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1,120 x 2,528 pixels.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to enter the international market as a premium foldable smartphone. Reports have indicated that it could compete with Apple’s iPhone Duo and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Vivo X Fold 6 Camera and Battery Details
Camera capabilities are expected to be another major feature of the Vivo X Fold 6. The phone comes with a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system consisting of a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.05 aperture and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.57 aperture.
For selfies and video calls, the foldable smartphone is equipped with two 20MP cameras. One is positioned on the inner display, while the other is placed on the cover screen.
The device is expected to pack a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

The Vivo X Fold 6 measures 157.16 x 145.66 x 4.40mm when unfolded. When folded, its dimensions are 157.16 x 74.26 x 9.40mm. The handset weighs approximately 228 grams.
