The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, offering eligible small and marginal farmers access to long-term loans of up to ₹6 lakh at an effective interest rate of 6%.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the scheme on September 23, 2026. Under the scheme, the interest rate on loans provided through the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Rural Development Bank has been reduced from 11% to 6%. The government will provide a 5% interest subsidy to eligible farmers who meet the prescribed repayment conditions.

The scheme is intended to provide farmers with easier access to long-term credit for agriculture and related activities.

Krishak Samriddhi Portal: How Farmers Can Apply

The government has also launched an online portal for the scheme through which farmers can submit their loan applications. The application process can be completed online using the official portal at mksyldb.in.

To begin the registration process, applicants need to visit the portal and select the loan application option. They are required to provide details such as their district, bank branch, tehsil, block, Gram Panchayat and village.

After entering the required loan details, applicants need to provide their mobile number and complete OTP verification. They can then create a password and finish the registration process.

Once the online application is submitted, it is forwarded to the selected bank branch. The bank subsequently examines the application and relevant documents before taking a decision on the loan.

What Can Farmers Use the Loan For?

The scheme covers loans for agriculture and several related activities. The listed areas include minor irrigation, SRTO, agricultural mechanisation and beekeeping.

Loans can also be used for activities connected with dairy farming, animal husbandry, rural housing, poultry and fisheries. The scheme also includes employment-oriented and income-generating loans under NBCFDC, along with education loans for children from rural families.

The objective is to provide long-term financing for different needs of eligible rural families and farmers.

How to Check the EMI on a ₹6 Lakh Loan?

Farmers who want to estimate their monthly repayment amount can use the EMI calculator available on the scheme’s portal.

After opening the website, applicants can select the “Know Your EMI Now” option. They then need to enter the required loan amount and repayment period. The calculator will provide the estimated EMI based on the information entered.

The maximum loan amount under the scheme is ₹6 lakh, while the applicable interest and repayment terms will depend on the sanctioned loan and the scheme’s conditions.
