Kia India has expanded the Carens Clavis range with three new automatic variants, making automatic transmission options available in lower trims as well. The updated lineup includes the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol DCT and 1.5-litre diesel automatic powertrains.
Prices for the newly introduced variants start at ₹14.67 lakh (ex-showroom). With these additions, buyers looking for an automatic Carens Clavis at a relatively lower price point now have more options to choose from.
New Turbo-Petrol DCT Variants
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a DCT automatic gearbox is now available in lower variants of the Carens Clavis.
The HTE (O) 1.5 Turbo-Petrol DCT is priced at ₹14,66,900, making it the most affordable of the three newly introduced automatic variants.
Kia has also added the same turbo-petrol DCT combination to the HTE (EX) trim. This variant is priced at ₹15,21,900.
Diesel Automatic Added to Lower Variant
Along with the petrol DCT options, Kia has introduced a diesel automatic version in the HTE (O) trim.
The Carens Clavis HTE (O) with the 1.5-litre diesel engine and automatic transmission is priced at ₹15,81,900 (ex-showroom).
The addition means buyers looking at a budget of around ₹15 lakh can now consider both petrol DCT and diesel automatic versions of the Carens Clavis. The petrol DCT is aimed at buyers seeking smooth automatic petrol performance, while the diesel automatic provides another option for those with higher long-distance usage.
What Does the Automatic Pack Include?
Kia has equipped all three newly launched automatic variants with an Automatic Pack. The package includes a smart key with a motion sensor, push-button start, drive modes, an electronic parking brake and remote engine start.
The smart key and push-button start add convenience during everyday use, while the drive modes allow the driving setup to be adjusted according to different conditions. Remote engine start can also be useful when preparing the vehicle in hot weather.
Kia Carens Clavis Price and Variant Details
Following the latest additions, the petrol Carens Clavis range stretches from ₹11.39 lakh to ₹21.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Higher variants in the lineup include the GTX Plus and X-Line.
Among the newly available automatic options, the HTE (O) Turbo-Petrol DCT starts at ₹14.67 lakh, while the HTE (EX) Turbo-Petrol DCT costs ₹15.22 lakh.
Other petrol variants include the HTK Plus at ₹16.85 lakh, HTK Plus (O) at ₹16.42 lakh, HTX (O) at ₹19.62 lakh and GTX at ₹20 lakh. The HTX Plus is priced between ₹19.04 lakh and ₹21.07 lakh.
For the diesel range, the HTE (O) is priced between ₹14.37 lakh and ₹15.82 lakh, with the newly introduced diesel automatic positioned at ₹15.82 lakh. The HTE EX diesel costs ₹14.88 lakh, while the HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O) and HTX diesel variants are priced at ₹16.44 lakh, ₹17.22 lakh and ₹19.01 lakh, respectively.
