Taapsee Pannu’s latest film Gandhari is gaining momentum on Netflix despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. The action crime thriller has recorded strong audience engagement on the streaming platform, trending across 58 countries last week with a total of 30.6 million viewing hours.

Rather than losing momentum after its first week, Gandhari saw a significant rise in viewership during its second week and has now moved into the top three most-viewed Indian Netflix originals of 2026.

Gandhari Week 2 Netflix Viewership

According to Netflix’s data for September 7 to September 13, 2026, Gandhari registered 9.6 million views and 18.7 million viewing hours during its second week on the platform.

The film ranked first on Netflix’s global Top 10 list for non-English films during the week and stood at fourth place in India.

Its weekly views increased by 62.7%, indicating continued audience interest and viewing across international markets. Gandhari also reached the number-one position in 17 countries, including Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, Venezuela, Morocco, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Gandhari Becomes Third Most-Viewed Indian Netflix Original of 2026

With its latest numbers added to the first-week figures, Gandhari has accumulated 15.5 million views on Netflix.

This places the Taapsee Pannu-starrer third among the most-viewed Indian films released directly on Netflix in 2026. Its performance has also moved Maa Behen out of the top five, with Madhuri Dixit’s film recording 9.6 million views during the first half of the year.

The current list of most-viewed Indian films released directly on Netflix in 2026 is:

  • Accused — 19.4 million views
  • Made In Korea — 18.2 million views
  • Gandhari — 15.5 million views
  • Kartavya — 12 million views
  • Ikka — 10.8 million views

Gandhari Two-Week Viewership Report

Netflix’s weekly figures show a notable increase in Gandhari’s performance during its second week.

Week 1: 5.9 million views | 11.9 million viewing hours | Global rank: 3
Week 2: 9.6 million views | 18.7 million viewing hours | Global rank: 1
Total: 15.5 million views | 30.6 million viewing hours

The figures represent Netflix’s official weekly data for films that appeared in its global Top 10 non-English charts. The numbers are based on the respective weeks in which the titles featured on the chart, regardless of how many days or weeks they had been available on Netflix.

As a result, the figures may differ from Netflix’s cumulative half-yearly viewership data, which covers a different measurement period.
