With this remarkable run, Hanuman Ansh has achieved a rare box-office milestone. It has become the lowest-budget Indian film to enter the ₹200 crore club, surpassing the earlier benchmark associated with The Kashmir Files, which was reportedly made on a budget of around ₹15 crore.
Hanuman Ansh Box Office Journey: From a Slow Opening to a Record Run
The film’s initial performance gave little indication of the success that was to follow. Hanuman Ansh opened to a modest ₹10 lakh on its first day. The following days were also relatively slow, and the film managed to collect only ₹1.48 crore net during its first two weeks in India.
The situation changed dramatically after audiences began recommending the film through positive word of mouth. A significant turnaround was witnessed around Day 16, after which the movie started attracting more viewers.
Its theatrical run became increasingly stronger in the third, fourth and fifth weeks. The film reportedly delivered record-breaking collections during this period, with ₹61 crore earned in Week 4 and an impressive ₹90 crore in Week 5.
The momentum continued into its sixth weekend. On Friday, which marked its 36th day in theatres, Hanuman Ansh reportedly added ₹10.50 crore net to its domestic tally. This took its India net collection to approximately ₹174 crore.
Hanuman Ansh Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹200 Crore
The film has reportedly not been released in overseas markets so far. As a result, its current worldwide gross is being driven entirely by its Indian theatrical performance.
According to the figures cited, Hanuman Ansh has reached around ₹205 crore in worldwide gross, officially taking it into the coveted ₹200 crore club.
What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the film’s reported production budget of only ₹2 crore. On that basis, it has comfortably surpassed the previous low-budget benchmark set by The Kashmir Files, which was made on an estimated budget of ₹15 crore.

The narrative is set in pre-Independence India and revolves around a young boy named Lakshmi Narayan. Following the death of his mother, Lakshmi Narayan leaves his home in search of God and begins a spiritual journey across North India.
As he travels and encounters different experiences, his search gradually transforms his life. The journey ultimately leads to his emergence as the spiritual figure known as Neem Karoli Baba.
