Ranbir Kapoor has shared a major update on Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film Ramayana, revealing that he and co-star Yash have not yet filmed the movie’s much-awaited climax. The actor also praised Yash’s portrayal of Ravana, saying the Kannada superstar brings a fresh and powerful interpretation to the iconic character.
Ranbir Kapoor Says Climax Is Yet to Be Filmed
During an interaction at San Diego Comic-Con, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his experience working on Ramayana and revealed that the film’s biggest face-off between Lord Rama and Ravana is still waiting to be filmed.
The actor explained that the two characters appear together only towards the end of the first installment, with a brief interaction in the middle of the story. Since those sequences haven’t been shot yet, he and Yash haven’t had the opportunity to perform together on set.
Ranbir Praises Yash’s Powerful Take on Ravana
Although they haven’t shared screen space during filming so far, Ranbir said he has known Yash for some time and has always admired his work.
He described the KGF star as the perfect choice to play Ravana, praising his charisma, screen presence, and unique interpretation of the legendary antagonist.
According to Ranbir, Yash has brought a refreshing perspective to the role, moving away from the conventional portrayal of Ravana. He added that the actor’s confidence, honesty, and commanding aura have made the character feel more layered and compelling.

Yash also had high praise for Ranbir Kapoor during the same event, calling him one of the finest actors in the industry.
The Kannada superstar acknowledged the immense responsibility of portraying Lord Rama, saying no actor can claim to be inherently worthy of playing such a revered figure. He appreciated Ranbir’s humility and dedication, adding that the role demands immense preparation and sincerity.
