Following the release of the intriguing trailer for Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming film Udta Teer, the makers have now kicked off the movie’s musical journey with the release of the quirky track ‘Bhootni Ka’.
The song has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Kaka, Twinkle Agrrwal and Amitabh Bhattacharya have lent their voices to the track.
Sachin-Jigar on Creating ‘Bhootni Ka’
Talking about the song, composer duo Sachin-Jigar said the track was particularly enjoyable to create because of the unpredictable nature of Bhattacharya’s lyrics. According to them, the music had to complement the sense of confusion in the words while remaining catchy.
The composers experimented with the pace, sounds and overall arrangement to ensure that the song constantly feels as though it could take an unexpected turn. They described balancing these elements as challenging but exciting.
Kaka Says the Song Made Him Curious About the Film
Singer Kaka revealed that the unusual lyrics immediately made him curious about the story of Udta Teer. The energetic and humorous tone of the track, combined with its distinctive sound, left him wondering how it would fit into the film.
He said that the same curiosity remained during the recording process. After watching the teaser, Kaka said he became even more intrigued as the characters and situations raised further questions about the story.
While joking about wanting to know the script, the singer added that he is now looking forward to watching the film to discover what happens.
Twinkle Agrrwal Talks About the Recording Experience
Twinkle Agrrwal also described ‘Bhootni Ka’ as an enjoyable song to record, particularly because of the amount of activity packed into its lyrics.
She explained that performing the track required maintaining its energy while ensuring that every word remained clear. Agrrwal also praised Kaka’s energetic performance, saying she enjoyed matching his energy during the recording.
Udta Teer, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, is scheduled to release in theatres on October 9, 2026.
