Ritvik Sahore is set to appear in Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, where he plays Aniket Nikam, the son of noted special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Directed by Avinash Arun, the courtroom drama features Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, with Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaideep Ahlawat also part of the cast. The film’s official trailer has recently been released, with the movie scheduled to hit theatres on October 16, 2026.

Ritvik Sahore On Playing Aniket Nikam

Talking about his role, Ritvik said that being part of Prahaar was an honour and that he enjoyed exploring Aniket’s relationship with his father. His character also gives the story a look into the family life of Ujjwal Nikam and the support his family provided while he worked on cases involving the pursuit of justice.

Ritvik described Aniket as an important part of the film and said exploring the family’s experiences alongside Ujjwal Nikam’s professional responsibilities was an enriching experience.

From Child Artist To OTT Favourite

Ritvik Sahore began his acting career as a child artist and made his feature film debut with Ferrari Ki Sawaari. His performance earned him a Best Child Artist nomination at the Screen Awards. He later appeared in the blockbuster Dangal.

Over the years, Ritvik has become a familiar face in the OTT space through shows such as Flames, Indori Ishq, Campus Diaries, Jamnapaar and Highway Love. His performances have also earned recognition at international and Indian film festivals, including a Best Performance award at the China International Children’s Film Festival for Gauru: Journey of Courage and a Best Actor honour at the Mumbai International Film Festival for To Remember Me By.

Ritvik On The Story Behind ‘Prahaar’

Ritvik highlighted the importance of the film’s courtroom narrative, particularly its focus on the legal proceedings that followed the 26/11 attacks.

He said that while several films have explored the events of 26/11, the courtroom proceedings that followed and the efforts to establish the crimes committed by Kasab have received less attention. According to Ritvik, Prahaar brings an important chapter of that story to the screen.

Working With Rajkummar Rao And Avinash Arun

For Ritvik, working with Rajkummar Rao and director Avinash Arun was another significant part of the experience. He described the opportunity as enriching and expressed pride in being associated with a story he considers important.

With Prahaar, Ritvik continues his transition from a successful child-artist career to more prominent roles on both OTT platforms and the big screen.
