Yoodlee Films has announced Party Animals, an upcoming Hindi comedy starring Viraj Ghelani and an ensemble cast. Set against the backdrop of a chaotic New Year’s Eve celebration in Mumbai, the film follows a group of friends whose attempt to enjoy a memorable night quickly turns into a series of unexpected disasters. Featuring cops, goons, a party bus and even a drunk horse, the film promises a comedy driven by friendship, misadventures and increasingly bizarre situations.
Party Animals: Story and Characters
The film centres on Mann Patel, played by Viraj Ghelani, and Armaan Khanna, portrayed by Arjun Tanwar. Childhood friends who have followed different paths in life, the two reunite for a night out that soon spirals beyond their control.
What begins as a celebration develops into a string of romantic complications, minor disagreements that turn into major fights, and attempts to resolve problems that only create further trouble. Set in Mumbai, Party Animals explores how a single night of poor decisions can lead to an unpredictable chain of events.
The film draws inspiration from Hollywood comedy favourites such as The Hangover, Superbad and 21 Jump Street. Combining friendship, impulsive choices and escalating chaos with an Indian setting, the movie aims to offer a contemporary big-screen comedy for audiences looking for an entertaining outing with friends.
Cast and Crew of Party Animals
Directed by Ravi Chhabriya, Party Animals is produced by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar under the Yoodlee Films banner. The screenplay is written by Ali Haji, Khush Mullick and Veer Panchal.
Alongside Viraj Ghelani and Arjun Tanwar, the ensemble cast includes Pragati Nagpal, Naqiyah Haji, Alam Khan, Saqib Ayub, Kamlesh Sawant, Anil Charanjeett, Aaron Koul, Vijay Patkar and Manoj Joshi.
The film explores friendship, the fear of missing out (FOMO), the challenges of growing up and the questionable decisions that can accompany newfound freedom. Through its unpredictable situations and contemporary humour, Party Animals focuses on the messy side of adulthood, where having the freedom to make choices does not necessarily mean making the right ones.
Viraj Ghelani and Siddharth Anand Kumar on the Film
Speaking about the project, Viraj Ghelani described Party Animals as a distinctive comedy filled with fun, friendship and increasingly outrageous situations. He expressed excitement about bringing the film to audiences on the big screen, highlighting the energy and relatability of its world.
Producer Siddharth Anand Kumar said the team wanted to play with conventional ideas about filmmaking and storytelling. He described the movie as an irreverent and deliberately chaotic comedy that embraces its own humour rather than presenting its characters’ decisions as sensible ones.
According to Kumar, the increasingly poor choices made by the characters are central to the film’s entertainment value, allowing the story’s madness to unfold naturally.
Party Animals Release Date
Party Animals is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 20. With its ensemble cast, Mumbai setting and a story built around one disastrous night, the film brings together friendship, comedy and unexpected twists.
Audiences can look forward to a theatrical comedy centred on a group of friends whose plans go spectacularly wrong, turning an ordinary night out into an unforgettable adventure.
