Oppo is reportedly preparing to expand its Reno 17 smartphone lineup, with the Reno 17F 5G moving closer to its expected international debut. The upcoming smartphone has received certification from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), indicating that its global launch could be approaching.

The development comes shortly after the standard Oppo Reno 17 5G appeared on several regulatory certification platforms. Both devices are expected to be part of the upcoming Reno 17 series, which could also include the Reno 17 Pro and Reno 17C. However, Oppo has not officially announced the launch date or confirmed the complete lineup.

Oppo Reno 17F 5G Receives NBTC Certification

The Oppo Reno 17F 5G has been listed on Thailand’s NBTC certification website under the model number CPH3013. The listing confirms the smartphone’s official name and support for 5G connectivity.

Before appearing on the NBTC database, the same model number was reportedly spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification platform, along with Indonesia’s TKDN and SDPPI databases. These multiple listings indicate that Oppo may be preparing the device for launch across different international markets.

According to an earlier listing on the NBD database, the Reno 17F 5G could feature a 6.57-inch OLED display. The smartphone is also expected to offer 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Oppo Reno 17 5G Also Receives Regulatory Approval

Alongside the Reno 17F 5G, the standard Oppo Reno 17 5G has also reportedly secured NBTC certification. The smartphone appears on the database with the model number CPH2975.

The certification listings suggest that Oppo is preparing both smartphones for international markets. However, details about their official availability and launch schedule are yet to be confirmed.

Reports suggest that Oppo could introduce the Reno 17 series in China next month. The expected lineup may include four models: the Reno 17, Reno 17 Pro, Reno 17F and Reno 17C. Following its China debut, the series could arrive in India in January next year.

Oppo Reno 17 Series: Expected Specifications

According to current leaks, the standard Oppo Reno 17 could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The Reno 17C, meanwhile, is expected to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC.

The higher-end Reno 17 Pro is tipped to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset. However, the specifications of the Reno 17F remain largely under wraps, apart from the details revealed through earlier certification listings.

Oppo Reno 17F 5G: Expected Upgrades Over Reno 16F 5G

The upcoming Oppo Reno 17F 5G is expected to bring improvements over its predecessor, the Reno 16F 5G, which debuted in global markets in June.

The Reno 16F 5G features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor. Its camera setup includes three rear sensors, led by a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle camera.

The smartphone also packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

While Oppo has not revealed the Reno 17F 5G’s complete specifications, its appearance on multiple certification platforms suggests that more details about the upcoming smartphone could emerge ahead of its official launch.
