Motorola has offered a first look at its upcoming premium smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. The device is positioned in the company’s ultra-flagship segment and is expected to bring high-end processing power, advanced camera capabilities and an improved thermal management system.
The smartphone also stands out for its long-term software support commitment. While Motorola has showcased the device at the technology event, the company has yet to reveal its official launch date, price in India or complete availability details.
Motorola Signature 27: Processor and Performance
The Motorola Signature 27 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform. To help maintain performance during intensive tasks, the smartphone will feature Motorola’s ArcticMesh Cooling System, designed to control heat during multitasking and high-frame-rate gaming.
The device will also incorporate a dedicated six-antenna network architecture intended to provide consistent signal reception across varying cellular and network conditions. These features position the Signature 27 as a premium device focused on performance and connectivity.
Motorola Signature 27 Camera Features
Camera hardware is among the major highlights of the upcoming Motorola smartphone. The Signature 27 will feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 primary sensor with 3.5-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS). It will also include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera designed to capture detailed photographs of distant subjects.
Motorola is incorporating several technologies to improve image and video quality. The 3.5-axis OIS system is designed to compensate for camera movement, while Qualcomm’s electronic image stabilisation (EIS) helps minimise unwanted motion in recorded videos.
The Motorola Video Enhancement Engine will further work on dynamic range, exposure and frame consistency during video recording. Together, these imaging features are intended to enhance the smartphone’s photography and videography capabilities.
Android 17, Gemini Integration and Seven Years of Updates
On the software front, the Motorola Signature 27 will run Android 17 and include Google Gemini integration for AI-powered tasks.
Motorola has also committed to providing seven years of major Android operating system upgrades and seven years of Security Maintenance Releases (SMR). This extended support policy is designed to keep the device updated with new software features and security improvements over a longer period.
The smartphone’s audio system has been developed in collaboration with Danish acoustic company Bang & Olufsen. The partnership focuses on speaker performance and balanced sound reproduction for multimedia consumption and voice-related functions.
Motorola Signature 27 Colours and India Availability
At IMC 2026, Motorola is showcasing the Signature 27 in two colour options: PANTONE Coal Smoke and PANTONE Capulet Olive. Both finishes complement the device’s premium positioning.
However, the company has not yet confirmed the smartphone’s commercial launch date, India pricing or the full range of hardware configurations. More information is expected in the coming months.
