Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene has paid tribute to veteran actor Nana Patekar following his death. The actor was scheduled to appear on the grand premiere episode of the Marathi television game show Kon Honar Crorepati, which Madhuri hosts, over the weekend.
Madhuri, who worked with Nana in the 1998 film Wajood, remembered him as an exceptional artist with a commanding personality and a distinctive voice. She expressed her condolences to his family and loved ones, describing his passing as a significant loss for the film industry.

Nana was expected to appear on the opening episode of Kon Honar Crorepati alongside actress Sonali Bendre. The programme is also expected to feature other well-known personalities from Maharashtra in the coming months.
‘Kon Honar Crorepati’ Premiere and Madhuri Dixit’s New Role
Kon Honar Crorepati is scheduled to premiere on October 12 on Sony Marathi and Sony LIV. The Marathi game show centres on knowledge, ambition and the pursuit of dreams, highlighting inspiring stories and the opportunities that can emerge from answering questions.
The programme is the Marathi counterpart of the popular Hindi quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
Madhuri Dixit has previously appeared as a judge and special guest on several television reality shows. However, hosting Kon Honar Crorepati marks a new phase in her television career. Veteran actor Sachin Khedekar has hosted the Marathi programme for the past few seasons.
With Nana Patekar’s appearance planned for the premiere, Madhuri’s tribute comes ahead of the show’s launch, adding a personal note to the occasion.
