Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action film King is generating considerable buzz, with reports suggesting that its teaser could be released on November 2, 2026. The date coincides with the Bollywood superstar’s birthday, making it a potentially special occasion for his fans worldwide.

The makers of King are planning to unveil the film’s teaser on November 2, 2026. The report indicates that Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures are preparing the promotional launch under the direction of Siddharth Anand. Sacnilk and MissMalini have also reported on the anticipated teaser announcement.
If the reported plan goes ahead, the teaser will offer audiences an early look at the film’s action sequences and Shah Rukh Khan’s latest on-screen avatar.
The actor is reportedly set to portray a highly skilled assassin, while Suhana Khan will play his protégé, a young apprentice learning to navigate a dangerous underworld. Siddharth Anand, who previously directed Shah Rukh Khan in the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan, is expected to present the superstar in a different action-oriented role.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on December 24, 2026, positioning it as a major Christmas release.

Alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, King features an extensive cast that includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Saurabh Shukla, Abhay Verma, Akshay Oberoi and Karanvir Malhotra.
Abhishek Bachchan is set to play the film’s primary antagonist. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly expected to make a special appearance in a song titled “Daddy Cool”.
The film is particularly significant for Suhana Khan, as it marks her first theatrical release. She previously entered the acting industry through the streaming film The Archies.

The story of King has been written by Sujoy Ghosh, while the screenplay is credited to Siddharth Anand, Sujoy Ghosh, Suresh Nair and Sagar Pandya. Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand are producing the film under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
Principal photography began in May 2025, with filming taking place across several locations, including Mumbai, Warsaw, Gdańsk and Cape Town. The final phase of shooting reportedly concluded around August 2026.
The film’s music and background score are being composed by Sachin–Jigar, with Anirudh Ravichander also contributing to the music. The project is reportedly being made on a budget of approximately ₹450 crore, placing it among the major productions in Shah Rukh Khan’s recent filmography.
For distribution, Pen Marudhar will handle the film’s domestic release, while Yash Raj Films is responsible for its overseas distribution.
