Infinix is gearing up to introduce the GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone in India, with the company confirming that the handset will arrive in October. The upcoming device is expected to continue the GT series’ gaming-focused approach, featuring a high-refresh-rate display, performance hardware and enhanced cooling capabilities.
Alongside the smartphone, Infinix has also teased a new gaming ecosystem that could include accessories designed to complement the upcoming handset.
Infinix GT 50 Pro India Launch Timeline
Infinix has confirmed that the GT 50 Pro will make its India debut sometime in October. However, the company has not yet disclosed the exact launch date.
Instead, Infinix has introduced a community-led campaign to reveal the date. Users can visit the dedicated GT 50 Pro launch page on the company’s website and contribute to a collective reveal meter by clicking on it. Once the required target is reached, Infinix will announce the smartphone’s official launch date.
The GT 50 Pro has already been introduced in select international markets, where it made its debut in April this year.
Infinix GT 50 Pro Specifications and Features
The global version of the dual-SIM Infinix GT 50 Pro runs Android 16 with the company’s XOS 16 interface. It comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display featuring a 1.5K resolution of 1,208×2,644 pixels. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 330Hz touch sampling and 2,800Hz instant touch sampling, along with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. The device comes with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and offers up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, the GT 50 Pro features a dual-camera setup on the rear. This includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.59 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. A 13-megapixel camera is placed on the front for selfies and video calls.
Battery, Connectivity and Design
The global model supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, OTG, NFC and FM radio, along with a USB Type-C port.
The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for up to 45W wired fast charging. It also supports 10W reverse wired charging.
In terms of dimensions, the Infinix GT 50 Pro measures 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15mm and weighs 198 grams. More details about the India-specific variant, including the exact launch date, are expected to be revealed by Infinix as the October launch approaches.
