Actor Divya Khossla has voiced her support for Sunita Ahuja amid ongoing speculation surrounding her marriage to actor Govinda. In a social media post, Divya questioned Govinda’s recent public appearances with Komal Swarnkar and spoke about the sacrifices she believes Sunita made throughout their marriage.
Sharing a detailed note on her Instagram Story, Divya discussed marriage, women’s independence and the importance of respecting long-term relationships.
Divya Khossla Speaks About Govinda and Sunita Ahuja
Recalling Govinda’s popularity during the 1990s, Divya said the actor was widely admired, including by her own mother. However, she said his recent public appearances had changed the way she viewed him.
Divya praised Sunita for standing by Govinda, raising their children and supporting the family while not pursuing a career of her own. She described Sunita as someone who played an important role behind Govinda’s success and questioned what more a woman could do after dedicating so much of her life to her family.
Divya also questioned why audiences were being exposed to public appearances and discussions surrounding the alleged relationship when personal matters were generally expected to remain private.
Divya Says Sunita Deserves Companionship
In her post, Divya acknowledged that Sunita may not have received a convent education but said she connected with what Sunita had expressed publicly.
She also spoke about Sunita’s age and her desire for companionship, saying she believed Sunita deserved to have her husband beside her as she entered the later years of her life.
Divya expressed sympathy for Sunita and said she was saddened by the circumstances surrounding the ongoing speculation.
Divya Directly Addresses Govinda
Towards the end of her message, Divya addressed Govinda directly. While acknowledging his status as a legendary actor, she said that maintaining one’s respect was ultimately in one’s own hands.
Divya also said that Govinda’s recent actions had affected the respect she previously held for him and argued that the situation could set a negative example for future generations.
Her comments came after Govinda was recently seen at the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal with Komal Rani Swarnkar, his co-star in the upcoming film Roopa. Photos and videos from their appearance circulated on social media and led to further speculation about their relationship.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children.
