Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has spoken about India’s cultural diversity and its growing presence on the global stage. Addressing the inaugural session of the 26th edition of FICCI FRAMES in Mumbai, the actor said India’s strong cultural identity and diversity could play an important role in expanding the country’s global reach.
Ayushmann Khurrana Highlights India’s ‘Cultural Currency’
Speaking to ANI, Ayushmann said India’s diverse cultural heritage gives the country significant potential internationally. He emphasised the importance of staying connected to Indian roots while taking its cultural influence to audiences around the world.
According to the actor, India’s cultural strength can continue to expand its global presence, with greater international reach coming from remaining rooted in its identity.
Ayushmann Khurrana on His Upcoming Film ‘Udta Teer’
Ayushmann also discussed his upcoming film Udta Teer, which is scheduled to release on October 9, 2026. He described the project as a return to the original and unconventional storytelling that has been associated with his film choices.
In the movie, Ayushmann plays a Pakistani spy who loses his memory. Although he remembers his sense of patriotism, he forgets which country he belongs to and eventually finds himself supporting India. The actor described the film as a pro-India patriotic comedy that blends different genres and is designed to be enjoyed by the entire family.
‘Udta Teer’ Cast and Crew
Udta Teer marks the directorial debut of Akash A Kaushik. The film features an ensemble cast including Sara Ali Khan, Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Sandeep Anand, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Smita Tambe alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain. It also marks another collaboration between Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
Udta Teer is set to arrive in theatres on October 9, 2026.
