Nothing is preparing for a major expansion of its smartphone lineup in 2027. The UK-based technology company plans to introduce more than twice as many smartphones next year compared to 2026, according to a senior company executive. The announcement comes after the brand focused on a smaller number of launches this year amid rising component costs, particularly for RAM and storage chips.
Earlier this year, Nothing introduced the Phone (4a) series in India, featuring the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. The company later expanded its affordable smartphone portfolio with the launch of the Nothing Phone (4b). Now, it has shared an early indication of its plans for next year, although the names and launch dates of the upcoming devices have not yet been disclosed.
Nothing Plans to Launch Over Six Smartphones in 2027
On Friday, Nothing India Co-Founder and President Akis Evangelidis shared the company’s upcoming smartphone plans through a post on X. He confirmed that Nothing intends to launch more than twice the number of smartphones in 2027 compared to its launches in 2026.
The company introduced three smartphones during 2026: the Nothing Phone (4a), Nothing Phone (4a) Pro and Nothing Phone (4b). Based on the executive’s announcement, the brand could launch more than six smartphones next year. However, Nothing has not revealed the exact number of devices or their expected launch schedules.
Nothing Co-Creation Programme to Preview Upcoming Devices
The announcement was made alongside details of the upcoming Nothing Co-Creation Program, which will be organised at the company’s India headquarters in Delhi.
The event will give selected community members an exclusive opportunity to get an early look at some of the smartphones planned for 2027. Participants will also be able to share their suggestions and feedback on the upcoming products.
According to the company, participation will be limited. Interested community members can apply for a place through the official Nothing Community website.
Why Nothing Skipped Its Flagship Smartphone Launch in 2026
The latest announcement comes after Nothing CEO and Founder Carl Pei confirmed earlier this year that the company would not introduce a flagship smartphone in 2026.
The decision was linked to increasing manufacturing expenses caused by higher prices of key components, including RAM and storage chips. The ongoing memory supply crisis has affected smartphone manufacturers worldwide, making device production more expensive.
Nothing’s India-based sub-brand CMF also did not introduce any smartphones during 2026. Both brands adjusted their smartphone launch plans amid the rising component costs.
Nothing Phone (4b) Price and Other Product Launches
Despite skipping a flagship launch, Nothing expanded its affordable smartphone portfolio in India with the Phone (4b), which was unveiled on July 7.
The smartphone is currently available on Flipkart with a starting price of Rs. 29,999 for the base variant featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Apart from smartphones, Nothing and CMF also introduced new audio products in India during 2026. With plans to significantly expand its smartphone portfolio next year, the company is preparing for a busier product launch schedule in 2027.
