Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday on November 2, 2026, may look different for fans who traditionally gather outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat, to catch a glimpse of the superstar. According to reports, the actor will not host his usual birthday meet-and-greet this year because of his ongoing shooting commitments for his upcoming film, King.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Annual Birthday Meet With Fans Called Off

November 2 holds special significance for Shah Rukh Khan’s fans, with admirers travelling from different parts of India and abroad to celebrate the actor’s birthday. The occasion has often seen large gatherings outside Mannat, as fans wait for the superstar to appear and greet them.

However, the annual celebration is reportedly being skipped this year. Shah Rukh Khan’s team has informed fan clubs that the customary #SRKDAY event will not take place in 2026. The news may disappoint fans who were planning to visit Mumbai for the occasion.

Over the past two years, the actor shifted his birthday interactions from Mannat to Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir in Mumbai. The ticketed gatherings reportedly took place because of renovation work at his residence and gave fans an opportunity to meet him, ask questions and interact with him in a more personal setting, away from media coverage.

This year, however, his professional commitments are reportedly preventing him from celebrating his birthday with fans in the usual way.

‘King’ Shooting Schedule Keeps Shah Rukh Khan Busy

Shah Rukh Khan’s work on King is reportedly the main reason behind the cancellation of the birthday event. According to reports, the actor is expected to be in London on November 2 for a song shoot for the action thriller.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on Pathaan, the film is currently in the final stages of production.

The cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, who is making her theatrical debut, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma.

Produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on December 24, 2026, coinciding with Christmas Eve.

Will Shah Rukh Khan Meet His Fans Before ‘King’ Releases?

Although the traditional birthday gathering is reportedly cancelled, fans may still get an opportunity to meet the superstar. Reports suggest that his team has indicated the possibility of organising another fan event at a different venue before King arrives in theatres.

No date or location has been announced for the proposed gathering. Fans will reportedly receive further information if the plans are finalised.

The possibility of a separate event could offer an alternative for admirers hoping to interact with Shah Rukh Khan, despite the absence of his customary birthday celebration.

‘King’ Builds Anticipation Ahead of December 2026 Release

The excitement surrounding King began building well before its scheduled release. On November 2, 2025, the film’s first promotional glimpse, featuring its title theme, “They Call Him King”, was released to mark Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday.

With new posters and promotional videos reinforcing the film’s planned Christmas 2026 release, anticipation continues to grow for the actor’s next big-screen appearance.

Shah Rukh Khan’s reported absence from his birthday meet-and-greet may disappoint fans, but his ongoing work on King remains a major focus as the film moves towards its December theatrical debut.
