Malhar Patekar, son of veteran actor Nana Patekar, has addressed the renewed controversy surrounding the allegations made by actress Tanushree Dutta. In a recent interview, Malhar maintained that the legal case being discussed publicly had already been concluded, questioning why the matter was being brought up again.

His remarks come amid renewed attention to the allegations following Nana Patekar’s reported death on October 8, 2026. Dutta’s comments on social media have once again brought the long-running dispute into the spotlight.

Malhar Patekar Reacts to Tanushree Dutta’s Comments

Malhar responded to the ongoing discussion without directly naming Dutta. He said the case being repeatedly mentioned had already been addressed by the judiciary.

“Without naming anyone, I want to say that the case people are bringing up unnecessarily is already over. Judiciary se clear hua hain, case khatam ho chuka; phir bhi bol rahe,” Malhar said.

He further added, “Aise logo ko mein unko kuch nahi boluga; joh sach hai wahi rahega, bhagwan unka bhala kare, this is what I have to say to them.”

Through these remarks, Malhar reiterated his position that the legal proceedings had ended and expressed his reluctance to engage further in the renewed public debate.

Tanushree Dutta’s Remarks After Nana Patekar’s Reported Death

Nana Patekar reportedly passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 75 in Goa following a heart attack. His last rites were reportedly conducted with full state honours at his farmhouse in Donje, Pune.

Dutta initially expressed uncertainty about how to respond to the news on October 8 while also offering condolences. However, her subsequent comments attracted considerable attention.

On October 9, she held a 2.5-hour Instagram Live session during which she described Patekar as a “sadistic psychopath” and said his death would not absolve him of the alleged wrongdoing.

Dutta also questioned the circumstances surrounding his reported death, alleging that it could have been staged to avoid legal proceedings. She further suggested that a DNA test should be conducted if his appearance had been altered. These claims, along with her earlier “evil dead” remark on social media, intensified the public discussion surrounding the controversy.

The dispute dates back to allegations of sexual harassment involving the 2008 film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss. Malhar’s latest comments reflect the family’s position that the legal matter has already been resolved.

In June 2019, Mumbai Police submitted a closure report to the court, citing insufficient evidence to prosecute Patekar. The legal dispute was effectively closed in 2025, according to the information provided.

Malhar also addressed rumours about his parents’ alleged separation during the same interview. He dismissed the speculation, stating that he had grown up in a loving family.

His comments come as the controversy returns to public discussion, with the family maintaining that the legal proceedings have concluded.
