Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is gradually recovering from a serious spine injury she sustained in Bali. Amid her healing process, the actress recently found a reason to smile while watching Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s romantic song ‘Gerua’ from the film Dilwale.
Nushrratt shared a glimpse of the heartwarming moment on her official Instagram Stories on Monday. The video showed ‘Gerua’ playing on a television, with laughter audible in the background.

As the camera slowly moved towards Nushrratt, she was seen resting on a hospital bed and smiling while medical staff assisted her with her meal. The actress accompanied the clip with a heartfelt message about finding hope and happiness during difficult times.
Reflecting on the moment, she wrote, “And just like that, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bring a smile to my face A reminder: things get better… little by little… they always do. Healing slowly, dreaming endlessly…(sic).”
Her post highlighted how small moments of happiness can bring comfort during recovery.
Actress Shares First Social Media Update After Bali Accident
On Saturday, Nushrratt shared her first social media post since suffering the injury in Bali. She posted a photograph of an empty reclining wheelchair, with a sunset visible through the window.
Alongside the picture, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress expressed her determination to move forward despite the unexpected setback. Her caption read, “Been chasing sunsets forever, And just like that.. my view changed. But, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.”
Nushrratt Bharuccha Was Airlifted to Mumbai for Surgery
Nushrratt sustained a spinal fracture following an accident during a work-cum-holiday trip to Bali. After the incident, arrangements were made to transport her to Mumbai by air ambulance for surgery. Her team subsequently issued an official statement confirming the injury and explaining that her health and medical care were the immediate priorities.
The statement read, “Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip, met with an unfortunate accident and suffered a fracture in her spine. At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery.”
The team also confirmed that the actress was under medical observation as she received the necessary treatment.
