Toyota has released a teaser of the updated Glanza ahead of its scheduled launch on October 14. The preview provides a first look at the car’s revised front-end styling, including changes to the grille and bumper. While the company has not revealed the complete design, the upcoming facelift is expected to bring feature upgrades and possible changes to the engine lineup.
The new Toyota Glanza could also receive advanced driver assistance features, including Level 2 ADAS, along with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG option. However, the final specifications and equipment list have not yet been officially confirmed.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: New Front Design
The teaser highlights several styling updates at the front of the upcoming Glanza. The Toyota badge sits on the bonnet above a metallic-finish trim element, while the grille features a black honeycomb pattern surrounded by a prominent silver border.
Silver accents are also visible along both sides of the lower grille. A red, body-coloured strip separates the grille from the lower bumper, which features a darker finish. The teaser also reveals a separate lamp housing positioned close to the grille.
Although only a portion of the car has been shown so far, the updated front styling is expected to be one of the key changes in the facelifted model.

Expected Features and Level 2 ADAS
The Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to receive several equipment upgrades. Potential additions include features available in the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno, such as ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad with active cooling and Clarion speakers.
There is also speculation that Toyota could introduce Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the new Glanza. If offered, the package could include automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, high-beam assist and adaptive cruise control.
These features could expand the car’s technology offering, but Toyota has not officially confirmed whether Level 2 ADAS or the other anticipated additions will be included in the production model.
New 1.2-Litre Petrol Engine and CNG Option
One of the expected mechanical changes involves the petrol engine. According to reports, the facelifted Glanza could receive a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, similar to the unit used in the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Dzire and updated Baleno. This engine is expected to replace the four-cylinder petrol engine currently offered in the Glanza.
Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). A factory-fitted CNG version is also expected to remain available. Reports further suggest that Toyota could offer an AMT gearbox with the CNG variant, although this possibility is yet to be confirmed.
Toyota Glanza Facelift Launch Date and Rivals
The updated Toyota Glanza is scheduled to launch in India on October 14. The company is expected to announce its pricing, variant lineup, mileage figures and complete feature list at or around the launch.
Once introduced, the facelifted Glanza will compete with premium hatchbacks such as the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
