MG Motor India has introduced the Hector STORM Series 2026, featuring two special editions: BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM. The new versions bring distinctive styling elements, exclusive accessories and a premium cabin experience to the company’s SUV lineup.
Both editions retain the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. Instead of a major mechanical overhaul, MG has focused on giving the Hector a more distinctive appearance through dark exterior detailing, special alloy wheels and upgraded interior finishes.
MG Hector BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM: Exterior Design Changes
The new STORM Series stands out with its specially designed All-Black Storm Hex Grille, which gives the SUV a bolder front appearance. Additional styling elements on the front and rear bumpers further distinguish these editions from the standard Hector.
Both models feature Aura Storm Blade alloy wheels paired with red brake callipers. Dark chrome finishes have also been applied to several exterior elements, including the logos, skid plates, tailgate and body-side cladding.
MG has introduced dedicated accessories for the two editions, including special BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM badges, a red accent on the tailgate, fog lamp bezels with red detailing, ORVM protectors and side step boards.
These additions give the special editions a more individual look while retaining the overall design of the Hector.

Premium Cabin With Exclusive Interior Details
Inside, the MG Hector STORM Series features a Nimbus Black interior theme with dark accents and all-black leather upholstery. The combination is intended to create a more premium cabin atmosphere.
The BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM identities are highlighted through edition-specific lettering on the front-seat headrests. The steering wheel also features leather wrapping and a gunmetal finish, adding to the cabin’s distinctive styling.
14-Inch Infotainment Screen and Connected Technology
The MG Hector BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM come equipped with a 14-inch HD portrait-oriented infotainment display. One of its key features is MG’s i-SWIPE gesture control, which allows users to operate functions such as air conditioning, music and navigation through two-finger and three-finger gestures.
The SUV also includes a digital Bluetooth key with a key-sharing function, allowing access to be shared digitally. A 17.78 cm fully digital LCD instrument cluster provides driving information, while MG’s i-SMART connected technology adds connected features for everyday convenience.
Remote air-conditioning control is another useful feature, allowing users to manage the cabin climate remotely through the supported system.

Engine, Power and Transmission
MG has retained the existing powertrain for both STORM Series editions. The SUV uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This setup focuses on delivering a smooth driving experience without introducing major changes to the Hector’s mechanical configuration.
The BLACKSTORM and SNOWSTORM editions therefore concentrate primarily on distinctive styling, interior enhancements and technology features rather than a new engine or transmission.
