Aamir Khan has recently been seen sporting his natural grey hair, marking a noticeable change from the dyed hairstyle he has previously maintained. Aamir recently spoke about his decision during a panel discussion at Whistling Woods International. Addressing his new appearance, the actor said, “Maine hair dye band kar diya hai sir. Bohot bore hota hai.”
The actor’s choice to stop colouring his hair represents a change from his usual appearance. Aamir has previously undergone significant transformations for his movie roles, but his latest salt-and-pepper look appears to be a personal choice.
Aamir was last seen in the feel-good film Sitaare Zameen Par, which was released on June 20, 2025. His production house also backed Ek Din, starring his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, which released on May 1, 2026. Another production, Batwara 1947, was released on August 14, 2026.

Aamir’s grey hair is not entirely new to the public. The actor had previously been spotted with a salt-and-pepper appearance during the COVID-19 lockdown and later at his daughter Ira Khan’s engagement in November 2022.

Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Projects
Aamir Khan has several projects in development. One of them is Lalkaara, a period sports drama directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Khan is set to portray India’s first cricket captain, Lala Amarnath. Filming is scheduled to take place from October 2026 to March 2027, with the film targeting a December 2027 release.
The actor is also set to collaborate with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj on a superhero action film, which is scheduled to enter production in the latter half of 2026.
Meanwhile, the planned Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, which was previously being developed with director Rajkumar Hirani, has been temporarily shelved as of April 2026 while the script undergoes further revisions.
