New Delhi: Gold and silver prices in the Indian market remained largely steady on October 8 across major purity categories. The benchmark gold price stood at ₹1,49,820 per 10 grams, while silver was quoted at ₹2,24,130 per kg.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were trading 0.37% higher at ₹1,49,660 per 10 grams. Silver futures also gained 0.15% to around ₹2,23,885 per kg at the time of writing.
Gold continues to face pressure from higher interest rates, while investors are also tracking global economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
