Reports claiming that Bollywood couple Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar are planning to permanently relocate to Himachal Pradesh have been denied by Dhar’s team. According to the filmmaker’s representatives, the couple has no plans to shift their permanent residence away from Mumbai.

The reports, which surfaced on October 4 and 5, 2026, suggested that Yami, Aditya and their son Vedavid were preparing to move to Himachal Pradesh for a quieter family life. However, the filmmaker’s team has now dismissed the reports.

Aditya Dhar’s Team Denies Relocation Reports

Speculation about the couple’s alleged move gained attention because of Yami Gautam’s close connection with Himachal Pradesh. The actress owns a century-old heritage property spread across 25 acres in Gohar, Mandi.

The property also holds special significance for Yami and Aditya, as the couple got married there in an intimate ceremony on June 4, 2021. Following the birth of their son Vedavid in May 2024, reports suggested that the couple was considering moving away from Mumbai to enjoy a more private and peaceful lifestyle.

However, Aditya Dhar’s team has rejected those claims. Speaking exclusively to SCREEN when asked about the reports, the team responded, “No. Who is sending this story?”

The clarification indicates that there is currently no plan for the family to permanently relocate to Himachal Pradesh.

Yami and Aditya’s Strong Connection to Himachal Pradesh

Although a permanent move has been ruled out, Himachal Pradesh continues to hold an important place in the couple’s personal life. Their heritage home in Mandi serves as a private retreat and was also the setting for their wedding.

The traditional property features wood and stone construction, along with organic kitchen gardens where apples, potatoes, plums and ginger are reportedly grown.

The couple continues to maintain strong professional commitments in the Hindi film industry, making Mumbai an important part of their working lives.

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s Recent Achievements

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar recently added another major achievement to their careers with their National Awards for Article 370. At the 72nd National Film Awards held on September 22, 2026, in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, Yami received the Best Actress award, while Aditya was honoured as the producer of the Best Feature Film.

Aditya has also been associated with the success of his recent directorial projects, Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026). The latter, released in March 2026, reportedly earned more than ₹1,600 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, Yami Gautam is preparing for her next release, the fantasy family entertainer Nayyi Navelli, which is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 16, 2026.

For now, the couple appears set to continue balancing their professional commitments in Mumbai with their connection to their Himachali home, rather than making a permanent shift to the hills.
