Hyundai has released another teaser of the upcoming Bayon SUV, this time giving a clearer look at its rear design. The latest reveal highlights the SUV’s distinctive lighting arrangement, while several details about its cabin, technology and powertrain have also emerged.
The Hyundai Bayon has been generating interest in the Indian market for several weeks, with the company gradually revealing different parts of the SUV through a series of teasers. The latest preview provides a better understanding of the rear styling and confirms that Hyundai is taking a different approach compared with its existing SUV lineup.
The Bayon is expected to feature Hyundai’s H-Edge lighting design, along with premium interior equipment, Level 2 ADAS and a Live Generative AI feature. The SUV is also expected to offer a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a factory-fitted CNG option.

Hyundai Bayon Rear Design
The latest teaser provides a clearer view of the Bayon’s overall silhouette and rear profile. Earlier spy images and videos had already suggested that Hyundai was working on an unconventional tail-lamp arrangement.
At the rear, the Bayon will use the brand’s H-Edge lighting theme, which is also expected to be seen at the front. The main tail lamps will sit lower on the rear section, while a slim LED light strip is expected above the rear bumper. This setup gives the SUV a distinctive appearance and remains uncommon among SUVs in India.
The exact location of the reverse lamp is not completely visible yet, although it is speculated that Hyundai could adopt an arrangement similar to the Venue. Other visible elements include an integrated roof spoiler with a stop lamp, shark-fin antenna, Hyundai branding on the tailgate and the Bayon badge positioned below it.

Premium Cabin and Technology
Hyundai has not yet released an official interior teaser for the Bayon. However, available details indicate that the SUV could feature a grey-and-black cabin theme, with certain design elements inspired by the new Venue.
The SUV is also expected to get Hyundai’s new steering wheel featuring a Morse code-inspired design with four dots. Another major highlight could be the curved display setup on the dashboard. It is expected to combine the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument display, with both screens likely to be similar in size and feature a new interface.
The Bayon is also expected to become Hyundai’s first SUV to feature Live Generative AI technology. A similar technology has recently been seen in the Kia Sorento.
Hyundai Bayon Features and Engine Options
The upcoming SUV is expected to receive a wide range of premium comfort features. These could include electrically adjustable and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, an auto-dimming IRVM and automatic climate control.
For safety, the Bayon is expected to offer Level 2 ADAS, providing several driver-assistance functions, particularly during highway driving. The expected safety package may also include six airbags, parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
Under the bonnet, the Hyundai Bayon is expected to use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Transmission choices are likely to include a manual gearbox and an IVT option.
Hyundai is also expected to introduce a factory-fitted CNG version rather than offering a diesel engine. The CNG model is likely to use an underbody CNG tank and could be offered exclusively with a manual transmission.
