Punjabi Social Media Influencer Mad Sandhu Shot Dead in Amritsar

Punjabi social media influencer, fashion stylist and makeup artist Mad Sandhu was reportedly shot dead by unidentified attackers in Amritsar on Saturday evening, October 3. The incident took place on Loharka Road and has led to a police investigation and a search for those responsible.

Mad Sandhu Shooting: What Happened

The shooting took place at around 6 PM, according to local authorities. Two unidentified men travelling on a motorcycle reportedly stopped Sandhu, whose real name was Madhusudan, and opened fire before escaping from the area.

Sandhu suffered serious gunshot injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he later died from his injuries while receiving medical care.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sirivennela said investigators had obtained initial leads following the incident. Police teams are examining CCTV recordings from the area to reconstruct the events and identify the attackers.

The motive behind the shooting has not yet been established, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Mad Sandhu’s Social Media Career

Mad Sandhu had developed a significant presence online through his work as a makeup artist, fashion stylist and content creator. His social media content and podcast appearances covered topics including beauty, lifestyle and gender-related issues.

He had also explored acting and appeared in the Punjabi film Oye Bhole Oye.

Previous Controversies Surrounding Mad Sandhu

Sandhu’s distinctive appearance and his open conversations about gender expression had previously attracted public attention as well as criticism online. Some of his content had also led to offline controversies earlier this year.

Police have indicated that different possible angles are being considered as they work to determine the circumstances and motive behind the fatal shooting.
