Veteran television director and CID creator BP Singh recently joined Dayanand Shetty and the team of Paapanasham during the show’s muhurat ceremony. The event marked the beginning of filming for the upcoming investigative project, which is being produced under Daya Shetty Production.
The ceremony brought together several familiar faces from Indian television as the team officially commenced principal photography.
BP Singh Attends ‘Paapanasham’ Muhurat Shot
BP Singh, known for creating and directing the long-running television series CID, attended the muhurat ceremony of Paapanasham to extend his blessings to the cast and crew.
The traditional ceremony took place on the show’s set before filming officially began. Singh’s presence was significant given his long professional association with several members of the cast, many of whom worked with him for more than two decades.
The production team and actors gathered for the occasion before moving ahead with the first day of shooting.
Dayanand Shetty also documented the event in a recent video shared on his official YouTube channel. The vlog offered a behind-the-scenes look at the production setup at Mattu Beach in Udupi, including preparations by the crew and the muhurat rituals.
‘Paapanasham’ To Feature A Fresh Story
While Paapanasham brings together several actors who previously worked alongside each other, Dayanand Shetty revealed that the upcoming project will feature new character arcs and a different narrative direction.
Shetty’s video also captured interactions with BP Singh and other members of the team, offering a glimpse into the collaborative effort behind the independent production.
The project is not being presented as a direct continuation of their earlier television series. Instead, it is being developed as an independent show with a fresh approach to the crime and investigation genre.
