Sony TV Unveils ‘Neem Karoli Baba’ Series as ‘Hanuman Ansh’ Continues Strong Theatrical Run

Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV have announced a new mytho-fiction series reportedly titled Neem Karoli Baba. The announcement comes as the devotional film Hanuman Ansh, based on the life of the spiritual guru, continues its successful theatrical run.

The upcoming television series is expected to explore the life, teachings and extraordinary stories associated with Neem Karoli Baba.

‘Neem Karoli Baba’ Series Promo Released

Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the first promo for Neem Karoli Baba on September 30, 2026. The teaser, released on YouTube, offers a brief look at the spiritual and mystical world that the series intends to present.

The promo features a voiceover referring to the remarkable stories associated with the spiritual guru. It also highlights Neem Karoli Baba’s well-known shawl along with a subtle reference to Lord Hanuman, establishing the devotional theme of the show.

The series will air on Sony Entertainment Television, while its episodes will also be available to stream on SonyLIV. However, the makers have not yet revealed details about the cast, episode format or exact premiere date.

‘Hanuman Ansh’ Records Strong Box Office Numbers

The announcement arrives while Hanuman Ansh continues its theatrical journey. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the Hindi biographical devotional drama stars Shobhinaw Satyaa as Neem Karoli Baba and Purnima Tiwari as Ram Beti.

Made on an estimated budget of around INR 1.8 crore, the film was released in India on August 7, 2026. Despite opening across only 25 screens, it initially collected INR 1.08 crore during its first week before gaining momentum through word of mouth.

By Day 55, September 30, 2026, Hanuman Ansh had reportedly earned INR 410.75 crore worldwide. Its India net collection stood at INR 314.63 crore, with the film crossing the INR 300 crore mark on Day 52. The movie also recorded INR 90.25 crore during its fifth week.

No OTT Release Date Announced Yet

Hanuman Ansh has reportedly moved ahead of films including Yash’s Toxic and Ram Charan’s Peddi, entering the global top three highest-grossing Indian films of 2026.

The film continues to run in theatres, while an official OTT release date is yet to be announced. The producers have also dismissed reports of a INR 100 crore streaming deal.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Neem Karoli Baba television series is expected to further explore the spiritual figure’s life and stories, although additional details about the project are still awaited.
