Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for its upcoming Hyundai Bayon SUV in India. Customers can reserve the new model with an initial booking amount of ₹11,000 through Hyundai’s website or authorised dealerships across the country. The SUV is scheduled to arrive during the festive season and will be positioned between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s India SUV range.

The Bayon will come with a petrol powertrain and two transmission choices—manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Hyundai is also highlighting its in-built generative AI voice assistant, connected technology and safety-focused platform as key features of the upcoming SUV.

Hyundai Bayon Booking and Launch Details

Bookings for the Hyundai Bayon are now open for ₹11,000. Buyers can complete the booking process online through Hyundai India or visit an authorised Hyundai dealership. The company has not yet announced the final price, variant-wise details or a specific delivery schedule. Hyundai says the delivery timeline will be communicated at the time of launch.

The Bayon is a 4.2-metre-long SUV with a five-seat configuration. It is expected to occupy the space between the Venue and Creta in Hyundai’s existing lineup. The company has confirmed that the SUV will be powered by a petrol engine and offered with both manual and IVT transmission options, while detailed engine specifications have not yet been announced.

Generative AI Voice Assistant and Safety Technology

One of the major technology highlights of the Hyundai Bayon is its built-in generative AI voice assistant. Hyundai says the system is designed to provide more natural interactions between the occupants and the vehicle, forming part of the company’s “Intelligence That Moves” approach.

The SUV is based on Hyundai’s Global K Enhanced Platform, which the company says has been engineered around Indian 5-star safety standards, with an emphasis on occupant protection, structural rigidity and advanced safety engineering. Hyundai is also highlighting a comprehensive package of safety technologies for the Bayon.

The company has also highlighted advanced driver-assistance technology and six airbags as part of the Bayon’s safety-focused equipment in the provided launch information. Final variant-wise equipment details are expected to be announced closer to launch.

Exterior Design and Cabin Space

Hyundai has given the Bayon a distinctive SUV design with a sculpted bonnet, H-Edge LED daytime running lights and geometric wheel arches. The lower body gets wrap-around cladding, while bridge-style roof rails add to its SUV-inspired appearance. Hyundai says the design has been developed to create a broad and confident stance.

Inside, the Bayon is designed with an emphasis on space and everyday comfort. Hyundai says the cabin has been developed to provide generous legroom, headroom and shoulder room for occupants. The technology package, meanwhile, will include the generative AI voice assistant and connected features.

With bookings now underway, the Hyundai Bayon has officially entered the next stage ahead of its festive-season launch. More information on its price, variants, complete specifications and final feature list is expected from Hyundai closer to the market launch.
