NPCI BHIM Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has introduced MyUPI, a conversational AI-powered assistant within the BHIM Payments App. The new feature is designed to provide round-the-clock help for UPI-related requirements and allows users to communicate using everyday language.
MyUPI was launched by NPCI at the Global Fintech Fest 2026. According to the platform, the assistant is intended to bring support and relevant UPI actions together in one place, reducing the need for users to navigate different support channels.
MyUPI Supports Five Languages
At launch, MyUPI supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali. NPCI said additional regional languages will be introduced over time.
The conversational interface allows users to explain their requirements in normal language instead of completing detailed forms or going through repeated interactions.
Lalitha Nataraj, Managing Director and CEO of NPCI BHIM Services Limited, said the conversational and multilingual approach is aimed at making digital payments easier to use and more accessible to people across India.
Key Features of MyUPI
MyUPI brings several UPI-related services together within the BHIM Payments App.
Transaction assistance: Users can view UPI transactions linked to their bank accounts and UPI apps in one place. They can also request help regarding a specific payment through MyUPI.
Complaint registration and tracking: Users can raise complaints related to eligible payment issues, receive a complaint reference number and track the status of their complaint through the app.
Verify before paying: Users can enter a UPI ID or upload a QR code to check the payee’s name before completing a payment.
UPI AutoPay management: MyUPI provides a consolidated view of recurring payments and related mandates across linked accounts and applications. Depending on the mandate, users can pause, resume or cancel AutoPay instructions.
Mandate debit information: When a payment is deducted through a mandate without requiring a UPI PIN prompt, MyUPI can help users identify the relevant mandate and understand why the debit occurred.
Transaction Replay: Eligible previous UPI payments can be initiated again from the transaction history in the BHIM Payments App. The feature supports both person-to-person (P2P) and person-to-merchant (P2M) payments, including eligible transactions originally completed through another UPI app. A fresh UPI PIN authorisation is required.
UPI Number de-linking: Users can remove the link to their UPI Number while continuing to receive payments through their UPI ID, where applicable.
Safety Switch: MyUPI allows users to block a linked bank account to prevent additional transactions from that account.
Fraud awareness assistance: Users can also seek information about suspected scam messages and commonly reported UPI fraud techniques through MyUPI’s conversational fraud-awareness feature.
MyUPI Brings UPI Support Into One Interface
With MyUPI, BHIM is combining transaction support, complaint handling, payment verification, mandate management and fraud-awareness assistance within a conversational interface.
The feature currently works in five languages, with NPCI planning to add more regional language support over time.
