Shaque: Trust No One — Netflix
Parineeti Chopra makes her OTT series debut with Shaque: Trust No One, a mystery thriller directed by Rensil D’Silva. The series also features Harleen Sethi and Jennifer Winget.
The story follows a mother who has spent nine years searching for her missing child. As her search continues, fear and suspicion begin to take over, forcing her to question the people around her and wonder whether anyone can truly be trusted.
Don’t Be Shy — Prime Video
Produced by Alia Bhatt and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, Don’t Be Shy is a coming-of-age romantic comedy featuring Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati.
The story revolves around Shy Das, a young woman whose carefully organised plans take an unexpected turn. College life brings relationships, heartbreak and a series of questionable decisions, eventually pushing her to deal with the uncertainties that come with growing up.
Rise And Fall Season 2 — Prime Video
The captive reality show Rise And Fall returns with its second season, hosted by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag.
The format places 15 celebrity contestants in two contrasting environments. The “Rulers” occupy a luxurious penthouse, while the “Workers” live in a basement. Contestants must use strategy, alliances and changing power dynamics to move between the two groups and improve their position in the game.
The confirmed participants include Swara Bhasker, Shehzad Poonawalla, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Karan Patel.
Brothers and Toxic: Other Releases This Week
Brothers, arriving on Apple TV on September 23, features real-life friends portraying fictionalised versions of themselves. The story begins after Woody’s daughter’s engagement breaks down. In response, Woody takes his family in a van to Matthew’s ranch in Texas for an extended stay. What starts as an attempt to deal with one family problem soon leads to another.
Toxic, releasing on ZEE5 on September 25, follows Raya’s rise through the criminal underworld. His pursuit of power is marked by violence and betrayal, while maintaining his growing empire comes with an increasing personal price. Yash plays the dual roles of Raya and Rumi, alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
