Amazon has announced the official start date for its much-awaited Great Indian Festival 2026. The festive shopping event will begin on October 8, bringing a wide range of discounts and special offers across categories.
During the sale, customers can expect deals on smartphones, televisions, fashion, home essentials and several other products. Amazon has also indicated that some products will be available at their lowest prices of the year.
10% Instant Discount on SBI Cards
Customers shopping during the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 can avail themselves of a 10% instant discount when they use eligible SBI credit and debit cards. The offer is also available on qualifying EMI transactions.
Amazon Prime members may receive an additional discount of up to 10% on selected offers. Customers should review the applicable terms and conditions before completing their purchases, as offers may vary by product and transaction.
Amazon Adds AI Tools and Special Sale Deals
Amazon is bringing new AI-powered features to this year’s festival sale to make online shopping easier. These tools will help customers compare prices, review previous price trends and receive personalised product recommendations.
The sale will also feature dedicated promotions such as Blockbuster Deals, 8 PM Deals and Exchange Mela, giving shoppers additional opportunities to find discounts across different categories.
Amazon Expands Delivery Network Ahead of Festive Rush
To manage the expected increase in orders during the festive period, Amazon has strengthened its delivery infrastructure. The company has added 20 new fulfilment centres and created more than 1,60,000 temporary jobs across 400 cities.
Amazon currently has more than 20 lakh sellers on its marketplace and says millions of products will be eligible for same-day or next-day delivery.
Amazon Now Expands to 100 Cities
Amazon is also planning to expand its Amazon Now quick-delivery service to 100 cities before Diwali. The service will reach several non-metro locations, including Warangal, Tirupati and Jalandhar.
Through Amazon Now, customers can order products such as groceries, personal care essentials and small electronics for faster delivery. Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President at Amazon India, described the Great Indian Festival as a “shopping celebration.”
