The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall across several parts of the country tomorrow. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are likely to receive heavy rain.
The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal over the next two days.
Rain and Thunderstorm Alert Across Several Regions
According to the IMD forecast, southern and coastal areas are expected to experience increased rainfall activity. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are among the states that may see both heavy rain and thunderstorms, while Kerala, Mahe, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are also covered under the heavy rainfall forecast.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also likely to receive heavy rainfall tomorrow.
Fishermen Advised Against Venturing Into the Sea
The weather department has issued a precautionary advisory for fishermen due to expected rough weather conditions over parts of the sea.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea from today until next Monday. Similar restrictions have been issued for the East Central and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal for the next three days.
Delhi Weather Forecast
For the national capital, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy conditions tomorrow. Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to stay around 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.
