Looking for the latest movies and series arriving on OTT platforms this week? From new thrillers and horror films to romance, drama and dance stories, several titles are scheduled to premiere online between September 14 and September 20.

The week includes Neagley, the Reacher spin-off led by Maria Sten, Vismaya Mohanlal’s Malayalam debut Thudakkam, and the third instalment of Netflix’s popular anthology Lust Stories. Here’s a look at the major OTT releases, along with their release dates and story details.

Prime Video OTT Releases

Neagley Season 1 – September 16

Neagley is a spin-off of Reacher and follows Frances Neagley, a private investigator and former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit who previously worked with Jack Reacher.

After a close friend dies under suspicious circumstances, Neagley begins a search for answers and justice. Her military experience helps her investigate a dangerous threat. The series is created by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton and features Maria Sten, Alan Ritchson, Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph and Jasper Jones in key roles.

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 – September 17

The second season of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is set during the winter period between the second and third seasons of the live-action Stranger Things series. The story follows the Hawkins Investigators Club as its members confront a new threat.

Lust Stories 3 – September 18

Netflix’s Lust Stories 3 continues the anthology format of its earlier instalments, bringing together four Indian filmmakers to tell stories around love, intimacy, desire and the complicated emotions surrounding modern relationships.

The third edition is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Irumudi – September 18

Irumudi is an emotional thriller featuring Ravi Teja as Trinath, an alcoholic father with a violent past who chooses to live a secluded life with his wife Kaveri, played by Priya Bhavani Shankar, and their young daughter Manikanta, portrayed by Baby Nakshatra.

Set against a spiritual backdrop near a waterfall, the film explores contrasting ideas about fatherhood as the story unfolds.

Best of Best – September 18

Best of Best follows childhood friends Maya, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Anjali, played by Priyanka Kedia. The two join UCLA’s competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team with hopes of competing for the US championship.

Their journey soon becomes far more challenging as they encounter the intense competition surrounding the team and its ambitions.

The Scandal – September 18

The Scandal is an eight-episode South Korean period romance based on the 18th-century French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses and inspired by the 2003 film Untold Scandal.

The story is adapted against the backdrop of the late Joseon Dynasty, a period shaped by strict Confucian social traditions.

When Hope Calls Seasons 1–2 – September 14

When Hope Calls is a spin-off of the period drama When Calls the Heart. Set in the late 1910s, the series takes place in the western Canadian frontier town of Brookfield.

The story revolves around the challenges of running a local orphanage while the characters deal with relationships, family conflicts and the development of their growing community.

JioHotstar OTT Releases

Thudakkam – September 18

Malayalam film Thudakkam marks the acting debut of Vismaya Mohanlal, daughter of actor Mohanlal. She stars alongside Ashish Joe Antony and Sai Kumar.

The film combines elements of a psychological stalker thriller and home-invasion action, while also presenting a story centred on women’s empowerment.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy – September 17

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy is a supernatural horror film about a family whose lives take a terrifying turn when their long-lost daughter returns home possessed by an ancient Egyptian demon.

MobLand Season 2 – September 18

The second season of MobLand continues the story surrounding the Harrigan family, one of North London’s biggest criminal syndicates. The family faces an internal civil war while powerful rivals emerge and threaten their criminal empire.
