Silver Price Today

Silver 999 fine was priced at ₹2,31,880 per kilogram on September 16, while 925 sterling silver stood at ₹2,14,489 per kilogram.

Like gold, silver has also declined by more than 3% over the past month. However, the metal continues to record substantial gains compared with its price a year ago.

What Is Driving Gold and Silver Prices

Several factors influence the prices of precious metals, including international bullion rates, currency movements, investor demand, interest-rate expectations and broader economic conditions.

The upcoming US Federal Reserve decision is being closely watched by bullion investors. Changes in expectations around interest rates can influence demand for assets such as gold, which does not generate interest income.

Jewellery Prices Can Be Higher

The quoted gold rate is not necessarily the final price consumers will pay when purchasing jewellery. Making charges, GST and other applicable costs can add to the total bill. Prices may also differ between jewellers depending on local market conditions.

With gold trading around ₹1.5 lakh per 10 grams and silver remaining above ₹2.3 lakh per kilogram, consumers are keeping a close watch on daily price movements. Checking the latest city-wise rates before visiting a jeweller can help buyers understand the prevailing bullion prices.
