South Indian entertainment fans have several new movies to look forward to on OTT platforms this week. From the Telugu action drama The Paradise to the Malayalam sci-fi thriller Dhoomakethu, the latest digital releases offer a mix of suspense, drama, friendship and adventure.
Netflix and JioHotstar are among the platforms bringing new titles to viewers between October 21 and October 23, 2026. 1. Dhoomakethu
Dhoomakethu is a Malayalam film that combines science fiction with mystery and psychological suspense. The story centres on Kuttan, a 36-year-old man who wakes up from a disturbing dream about his own death on his wedding day.
As the day progresses, familiar events begin repeating themselves, leaving Kuttan struggling to distinguish reality from memories and unsettling experiences.
The film features Sajin Gopu, Nikhila Vimal, Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sidharth Bharathan and Manju Pillai. It will begin streaming on Netflix on October 23, 2026.
2. Dorothy
Dorothy is a Tamil film set in Madurai during the 1990s. The story explores the close friendship between two companions, Karthi and Subbu, against the backdrop of the city during that period.
The film stars Keerthy Suresh, Sananth and Rishikanth in the lead roles. Viewers will be able to stream it on Netflix from October 23, 2026. Along with its original Tamil version, the movie will also be available in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
3. The Paradise
Set in 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise tells the story of a marginalised tribal community fighting discrimination and seeking citizenship. Under the guidance of an unexpected leader, the community challenges the systemic oppression it faces.
The Telugu film is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on October 22, 2026. In addition to the original Telugu version, dubbed editions will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, making the film accessible to a wider audience.
4. Moana (Live-Action)
The live-action version of Moana brings the story of the animated film to a new format. The movie is among the week’s digital releases and will be available on JioHotstar from October 21, 2026.
Audiences can watch it in English, the original language, as well as dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
5. Varam
Varam is a Telugu film about a poor slum resident whose life takes an unexpected turn after he receives a mysterious boon that allows him to see news from the following day.
The story explores how this unusual ability changes his circumstances. The cast includes Vishwadev Rachakonda, Shivathmika Rajasekhar, Srinivasa Avasarala, Shivaji Raja, Ajay, Dhanraj, Jaitri Makana, Shruti Jayan, Surabhi Prabhavathi and Vineeth Ramesh.
The film will be available to stream on JioHotstar from October 22, 2026.
