Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was seen with bandages following a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the actor’s residence late on Sunday night to check on his health and assure his family of the state government’s support.
Reports of the shooting emerged after unidentified individuals allegedly opened fire as the Heropanti actor was leaving a football club on Sunday evening. Photographs taken during Shinde’s visit showed Tiger with dressings on his shoulder and chest, along with a bandage on his right arm. His mother, Ayesha Shroff, was also present during the meeting.
Eknath Shinde Assures Tiger Shroff of Government Support
Following his meeting with the actor, Shinde addressed the media and condemned the firing incident. He said Tiger had sustained injuries to his hand due to gunpowder and broken glass fragments. The Deputy Chief Minister also expressed concern for the actor and his mother, who were reportedly shaken by the incident.
Shinde stated that five rounds had been fired and described the incident as serious. He added that Tiger’s driver had also been injured and assured the family that the government would take the necessary measures to protect them.
“This is a major incident… five rounds were fired, but fortunately, he was safe. His driver sustained injuries, and the incident is condemnable,” Shinde said.
He further stated that threats against public figures would not be tolerated and emphasised the need to prevent criminal intimidation and gang-related violence. Referring to Mumbai’s history of gang wars during the 1990s, he said the authorities would take action against such activities.
