Bigg Boss 20 contestant Uditi Singh has spoken candidly about her relationship with actor Karan Wahi and the circumstances that eventually led to their separation. Recalling their time together during the COVID-19 lockdown, Uditi said the breakup ultimately brought major changes to her personal life and career, describing it as a “blessing in disguise.”
Uditi Singh Recalls Difficult Phase During Lockdown
While speaking with fellow Bigg Boss 20 contestant Scoutt, Uditi discussed how things became complicated between her and Karan during the lockdown period.
She recalled that the couple had adopted a Golden Retriever named Noah during the pandemic. According to Uditi, taking care of their pet, managing household chores and dealing with different approaches to cleaning became frequent sources of arguments.
Uditi also said she often felt discouraged in the relationship. She recalled that Karan would sometimes tell her that she would not be able to handle certain responsibilities, including taking care of Noah.
Looking back at that phase, Uditi said, “After the breakup, it was really a blessing in disguise for me. Because my entire career, my entire life, everything changed.”
She further explained that when circumstances were not favourable, disagreements seemed to arise over even small matters, while things felt much easier when everything was in place.
Uditi and Karan Wahi’s Relationship
Uditi and Karan Wahi were publicly known to be in a relationship around 2019-20. Karan had also shared photographs with Uditi during their time together.
The relationship was considered serious, with Uditi previously telling her Bigg Boss housemates that they had been together for around two-and-a-half years. She also revealed that marriage had been discussed between them.
Uditi had further spoken about her parents’ reservations regarding the relationship. Their concerns included the couple’s age difference as well as Karan’s profession as an actor.
Uditi Singh’s Acting and Modelling Career
Uditi began her professional journey as a model before moving into music videos and acting. Over the years, she featured in music videos including “Suroor”, “Bewafai Nu Salaam”, “Yaadein Teriyan Meriyan”, “Yeh Dil Deewana”, “Aaoge Tum” and “Karizma”.
She made her film debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix thriller Jaane Jaan, in which she played the younger version of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character Maya.
Uditi later appeared in the 2025 comedy Jassi Weds Jassi. Her latest revelations on Bigg Boss 20 have now brought renewed attention to her past relationship with Karan Wahi and the personal experiences she says shaped her journey.
