Farah Khan has spoken up about paparazzi photography, asking photographers not to capture inappropriate pictures from behind. The choreographer and filmmaker made the remark during a public appearance on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, referring to Salman Khan’s recent comments on the issue.

As paparazzi gathered around her, Farah noticed photographers attempting to take pictures from behind. She immediately addressed them and said, “Salman Bhai Ne Bola Peeche Se Nahi Lene Ka” (Salman Bhai said not to take from behind).

Farah Khan’s Message To The Paparazzi

Farah’s response comes amid discussions around the way celebrities, particularly women, are photographed in public spaces. Her brief but direct remark echoed Salman Khan’s criticism of certain paparazzi practices.

By referring to Salman’s earlier comments, Farah made it clear that she did not want photographers capturing such angles during her appearance.

What Salman Khan Said About ‘Back Shots’

Salman Khan had previously criticised the practice during an episode of Bigg Boss 20 aired around September 19–22, 2026. While discussing paparazzi behaviour, the actor objected to photographers deliberately taking what he referred to as “hip shots” or “back shots” of actresses, particularly when they were getting into or out of vehicles.

Salman questioned the mentality behind taking such pictures and also criticised captions such as “Guess Who?” that can accompany these images.

During the discussion, he urged actresses who feel uncomfortable with such photography to “ghoom ke chaata maaro” (turn around and slap them). He also referred to instances involving actresses including Saiee Manjrekar and Neha Dhupia, who had previously appeared uncomfortable with or objected to such photographs.

Neha Dhupia later expressed support for Salman’s comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Salman Khan Had Raised Privacy Concerns Earlier Too

This is not the first occasion on which Salman has spoken about personal privacy and paparazzi conduct. In May 2026, the actor had a public altercation with photographers outside a hospital after they interrupted him during a sensitive personal moment.

Following the incident, Salman shared a strong social media post criticising the lack of respect for personal space.

Farah Khan’s latest interaction has once again brought attention to the ongoing conversation around celebrity privacy and paparazzi photography, particularly when it comes to intrusive camera angles.
